NIAIMT Silchar
| NIAIMT, Silchar center is implemented under National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP), the largest and one of the most significant initiatives in Automotive sector so far by Govt. of India. NIAIMT is one of its kind center in India as well as in North East. NIAIMT has two campuses. One is Dholchera Campus (45km from Silchar airport, 11km from National Highway) and the other one is Jaffirbond campus (18km from Silchar airport, beside East-west corridor). Dholchera campus is spread over 65 acres of land and the Jaffirbond campus covers 20 acres. NIAIMT is one of the significant imitative by Government of India under NATRiP for entire northeast area to implement modern infrastructure and facilities aiming to develop skills to handle the latest automobiles by providing training to the youths. This center has also created infrastructure to test in-use vehicle by applying latest technologies, thus making the roads safer. NATRiP has established following facilities at NIAIMT – Silchar: |
